From Paralysis to Power

Kate Adamson
Inspirational Keynote Speaker

Kate is a mesmerizing, inspirational, keynote speaker whose presentation will enhance the theme of your conference. She will bring focus and power to your corporate and health care convention.

Kate Adamson delivers!

Her presentation is more than just a feel good motivational speech. Kate’s presentation is unique. She inspires audiences from coast to coast with her personal experience. Kate shows us all how to overcome personal and organizational paralysis with simple techniques which combine professional focus and spiritual disciplines. Against one-in-a-million odds, she overcame total paralysis from a devastating double brainstem stroke. Today she brings audiences to their feet in enthusiastic appreciation and moves them to action with focus, determination and courage.

Kate focuses on the challenges we face. She helps your organization with the goals you are trying to reach by identifying the problems that are stopping you from where you want to go. She speaks about what is stopping all of us proving that we can achieve the impossible by simplifying issues and focusing on what we have, not what we don’t.
She speaks not from theory, but personal experience. Once considered dead – her life not worth saving – she now travels the country as the only professional speaker to have recovered from Locked-in Syndrome, touching audiences big and small, corporate, private, church and secular.

Kate has testified before Congress as an advocate for human beings facing end of life crisis. She’s a tireless advocate for the disabled. Presenting how corporations and governmental  can enhance the lives of their disabled changing the focus of EEO compliance from a burden to a pleasure.

Sample Presentation: Kate’s popular keynote presentation, One Hand Clapping, refocuses those who feel paralyzed in their personal or professional progress on what they can do, not what they can’t. She motivates public and corporate audiences to overcome their paralysis and move to their next level of accomplishment by focusing on the simple concepts and methods that created their success in the first place. She helps all of us to become powerful advocates for Ability Awareness and to learn Appreciation before Accommodation,” inspiring audiences to recognize and value the creativity and personal power that overcoming disability can create. She uses her vast personal experiences that includes more than just her remarkable recovery from a devastating illness.

She was appointed to the University of Southern California, Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy Board of Counselors. She has served as a national spokesperson for the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association and is a board member of the Stroke Association of Southern California. Her story has been featured in Redbook, Prevention, and many other national magazines. She was a finalist in the Prevention magazine’s national Picture of Health competition and has appeared on Larry King Live, CBS Sunday Morning News, CNN, Fox News, The O’Reilly Factor, The Abrams Report, MSNBC, ABC, 700 Club, Coral Ridge Ministries and the Trinity Broadcast Network.
